Dubrovnik (Ragusa it.), the port and historic city and one of the most prominent tourist resorts on the Adriatic coast. It lies in the extreme south of Croatia and is one of the four largest cities Dalmation. Dubrovnik is Croatia’s southernmost city. In its surroundings dominates Mediterranean climate which is known by a very mild winters and very sunny and dry summers.

The formation of Dubrovnik city dates back to the relatively distant past and is surrounded by legends. Of several legends about its creation is the most historically based legend, linking the emergence of new cities to the destruction and collapse of the old Roman city in the 7th Epidaur century. Subsequently, the City of Dubrovnik has developed into an important commercial center of force and city states, the Dubrovnik Republic, which existed until in 1808.
